IGC: way forward on .org

Dear IGC subscriber,

On behalf of the co-ordinators, we hope this finds you well amid the difficult times we are all facing.

As already announced on the IGC list, we are conducting a membership review. This means that we are writing to ask if you remain committed to the IGC aim of ensuring that Internet governance is inclusive, people centered and development oriented.

We're also asking whether you are interested in partaking in discussions related to the implementation of the UN Secretary General's Roadmap on Digital Cooperation. Some members of the IGC was involved in early discussions relating to the UNSG's High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation in 2018, and inputted with a joint consultation.

We believe that this is an important process relating to internet governance that should be inclusive of all stakeholders, particularly civil society and the IGC could have an important role to play in this regard. This could involve, for example, engaging with the IGF Working Group on the MAG as well as other discussions related to the implementation of the UNSG roadmap.

Kindly indicate your interest in remaining on the IGC list by 07 September.

If, in the same email, you could indicate whether you have an interest in partaking in discussions relating to the implementation of the UNSG roadmap that would also be much appreciated.

We will follow up to check this email has been received if we don't hear back.

Best wishes
Sheetal and Bruna
